A Hemangioma Originated From The Distal Portion of Vastus Lateralis Muscle of Right Thigh

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of cavernous type of hemangioma in the vastus lateralis muscle of the right thigh is presented in reported case.
The patient was a 17 years old man, who complained of painful swelling and small fist-sized palpable soft mass on the antero-lateral aspect of the right thigh for 5 years.
Aspiration yielded dark bloody material from the anterolateral aspect of the right thigh.
Roentgenogram revealed, an ill defined soft tissue mass density in antero-lateral aspect of the right thigh with calcarous deposits suggesting soft tissue tumor,
Excision through antero-lateral incision was carried out. and the entire tumor mass was excised.
No recurrence of symptom was demonstrable in 6 months post-operative follow-up.
